Here is a presentation I gave at a Sydney WordPress meetup about why the WP-eCommerce plugin is worth revisiting if you haven’t seen it for a few years.
Items worth considering:
– great looking pre-made themes using this plugin let you launch a shopping site very quickly. One example is Storefrontthemes.com this theme is a great example: Storefrontthemes theme called edge
– payment gateways like eWay make it possible to accept payements other than paypal and if you are based in Australia you can get local support from eWay when you need it.
– preview music files when selling audio downloads with jPlayer add-on
– backed by a pretty cool person Dan Milward who supports the WordPress community by helping organise and support WordCamp events.
I’ve been building WordPress websites for over a decade, spoken at conferences around the world, and taught countless people how to build and maintain their sites.
