Some suggestions for people looking for web hosting for New Zealand. These would also work equally well for Australian website too.
I would normally have SiteGround in a list of web hosting options as they are excellent web hosts these days but unfortunately do not service New Zealand.
VentraIP – https://ventraip.com.au/
Australian based servers, so still pretty close.
I asked VentraIP support about NZ, and they said NZ is the only country outside of Australia that they allow customers from, so that is a good sign too.
- they include email if you want to use theirs much like siteground does.
- has the best 24/7 phone support I have ever experienced.
- I have several clients and a few of my own websites on their hosting with no issues.
Kinsta – https://kinsta.com/
Fast but not cheap web hosting using the google cloud platform so servers are generally close enough to be fast.
- does not include email, so you would need to get your email via Google business email ( https://workspace.google.com/intl/en_au/solutions/new-business/ ) or Microsoft Outlook email service ( https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoft-365/outlook/email-and-calendar-software-microsoft-outlook ).
Cloudways – https://www.cloudways.com/en/
- highly respected for speed
- a bit technical to setup
- does not include email, so you would need to get your email via Google business email ( https://workspace.google.com/intl/en_au/solutions/new-business/ ) or Microsoft Outlook email service ( https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoft-365/outlook/email-and-calendar-software-microsoft-outlook ).
- support is ok but not as good as the others above
